Hickory-Fountain Green Baseball President

Daniel León

I have been with Hickory Baseball for over 10 years and started with the program as a 4-6 coach in 2008. All three of my children have been part of the Hickory Baseball program. Throughout the years, I've held several roles including the Hickory Hornets Travel Baseball Director and currently, President of Hickory Baseball and Head Coach for the a Hickory Hornets team. I have a great passion for growing and teaching the game of baseball. I enjoy leveraging baseball to positively influence the youth in our community and love teaching the skills of baseball in hopes the youth will transfer them to life skills.

Vice President

Jeremy Wockenfus

Jeremy has been involved with Hickory Baseball since 2013, starting as a 4-6 coach.  During that time, he has coached both spring and fall rec baseball, taking a role on the board and the lead with umpire scheduling in 2017.  Jeremy has been around baseball his entire life, as his father John enjoyed a 10 year MLB career with the Detroit Tigers and Philadelphia Phillies, followed by a 5 year managing career in the Detroit and Pittsburgh farm systems.  Jeremy played High School and American Legion baseball in Pennsylvania, and moved to Baltimore in 1994 to study Economics and play for the Division I University of Maryland Baltimore County Retrievers.  In the summer months while at UMBC, Jeremy played in the Delaware Semi-Pro Baseball League.  He has a love for the game and takes pride in teaching fundamentals of baseball, while focusing on hustle and having fun on the diamond.

I was born and raised in Harford County.  I love guiding and empowering kids to learn the game of baseball that I love so much.  Encouraging the kids to do their best, never give up, and praising their efforts is a life philosophy that is learned through sports.

Randy Scrocca

I have been coaching youth sports, including baseball and soccer, since 2009 and have coached with Hickory Baseball since 2011. I have coached my three boys through various levels of the baseball program beginning at 4-6, and currently I am the Head Coach of one of our Hickory Hornets travel teams. I am focused on developing fundamental baseball skills, baseball IQ, mental toughness, and good character and sportsmanship in my players. My ultimate goal is that my players will love the game of baseball as much as I do.
