Hickory Baseball & Softball
Board Members

I grew up playing baseball in Harford County. I have been involved in youth sports for over 20 years through a baseball camp I run over the summer, coaching my daughters in soccer with HFG and as a coach, age group coordinator, and formally the equipment & communication director with HFG baseball. I helped start the Patterson Mill High School Baseball Program as an assistant varsity coach and was there for 14 years. As you can see, I love the game of baseball, and I have ever since I put on a glove. I am excited to be a part of the HFG program and help spread my love of the game.

I started with Hickory Fountain Green baseball coaching my daughter many years ago. I currently coach my son and daughter in the baseball & softball programs. I am originally from Pennsylvania and played baseball through high school and college. I enjoy teaching players the fun of baseball, while offering a strong foundation of skills.

I have been involved with Hickory Fountain Green Baseball since 2015, serving as head coach and age group coordinator for several years prior to joining the HFG Baseball Board. I grew up in Churchville and am a ninth generation Harford Countian. I thoroughly enjoy teaching the game, and see baseball as a means to instill the values of teamwork, sportsmanship and maintaining a positive attitude.

I’ve been active in baseball for over 40 years as both a player and coach. Most recently, I’ve been fortunate to be part of the Hickory Fountain Green program since 2018 as an assistant coach, head coach and age group coordinator. In the Fall of 2024, I joined the HFG board. I’ve also been involved in other local youth rec programs including Hickory Soccer, Forest Hill/Hickory basketball, and UA flag football. However, baseball has always been my first love and I believe has instilled me with many life values that have made me the person I am today. I am excited to share those same life lessons with future generations of ball players. I hope to bring energy, enthusiasm and encouragement to all our players and to our program for years to come!

Travel Baseball Director

I have been involved with the Hickory Fountain Green Baseball Program since 2017 coaching in both rec and travel capacities, serving as a Head Coach, Assistant Coach and Age Group Coordinator. I became Travel Baseball Director and joined the HFG Baseball board in the Spring of 2024. I’ve been fortunate to have baseball as part of my life for a number of years from working as a Camp Instructor to working with Ripken Baseball. My passion is to teach the life skills that baseball has to offer while stressing sportsmanship along with way, it’s a game and meant to be played to have fun!

Assistant Softball Director

As a life-long Harford County resident, I have been involved in local rec programs my whole life. Volunteering in the rec programs was a big part of my childhood (through my parents and helping them as soon as I was old enough). Now, with my own daughter and son in the programs, I’ve been coaching softball, baseball (and other sports) the last several years. Youth sports provide a great venue to help our kids develop strong life skills. I am passionate about providing a top notch experience to all of the kids in the program, and sharing ideas amongst other coaches and volunteers to continuously improve our programming. I’m excited to be part of the Board. Go HFG!

Assistant Softball Director

I have been coaching travel baseball in Harford County for the last 7 years and recently moved to HFG Softball to coach my daughter. I have a true passion for baseball and softball and love teaching the game. My goal is for my players to have great attitudes, be coachable, be amazing teammates and maintain the highest levels of sportsmanship. I'm focused on making sure they are great people first. I'm excited to be a part of the HFG Softball program!

I have been involved with the Hickory Fountain Green baseball program since 2018. I have coached both of my boys in both the 4-6 and 7-8 in house age group and I'm currently an assistant coach in the Hickory Hornets travel program. I have played baseball my entire life, continuing to this day in a men's adult league in Harford County. I enjoy teaching the game of baseball...and I believe there's more to it than just winning and losing. We need to teach our youth how to be good leaders, good teammates, have good sportsmanship, and generally to play the game the right way.

I have been involved in Hickory Baseball since 2020, and have coached in both the rec and travel programs. I am passionate about baseball, and believe that our game is a wonderful tool for helping kids develop character, work ethic, and teamwork. I also encourage my teams to have entirely too much fun along the way.

I have been a head and assistant coach with HFG baseball throughout different age groups since 2015 with all three of our kids. I grew up playing baseball through high school in New York, and truly enjoy the game. My love for the game is continued on through our children, and the opportunity to teach life skills through this great game. I am blessed to be part of this great program!

I grew up playing baseball, and was lucky enough to play from a young age through the collegiate level. Since 2021, I have been actively involved with Hickory, serving as an Assistant Coach, Head Coach, and Age Group Coordinator for both the recreational program and the Hickory Hornets. I am dedicated to nurturing talent and fostering a love for baseball in the community. More importantly, I believe youth sports are important for our kids to promote team cohesion, boost confidence and self-esteem, and promote important life skills such as leadership, sportsmanship, and teamwork at an early age.
