T-Ball (4-6) – Coming Soon

Practice/Game Days of the Week

  • Saturday or Sunday

Equipment

  • Each child provided with team jersey, hat and socks by program.

  • You must supply glove, cleats, and softball pants (gray recommended).

  • Helmets and bats are optional but recommended: you may use team provided bat and/or helmet if you do not purchase your own.

Practices/Games

  • This age group will be clinic based and primarily focused on skill development.  The first 3-4 days will be practices.  The remaining will still start as a short practice but finish with a scrimmage/game versus the team sharing the field.

  • Guidelines for scrimmages/games

    • Players use tees for the first 3 games, then coaches can start coach pitch for the players that are ready, still recommend tees for the majority of the players.

    • If transitioning to coach pitch, players receive 6 pitches and if no contact/hit, the tee is brought out for them to get on base.

    • There should ONLY be six (6) fielders at one time with the rest of the defending team, which should be three (3) players doing a fielding drill with a coach on the side.

    • Outs are made but not recorded. Entire lineup bats each inning.

    • Runners advance one base at a time.

    • Fielding team throws to first base on every ball put into play.

    • 2-3 total innings.
